The research service that helps you to discover a

relative's past, today.

Tommies Traced

Whether you are a family historian or medal collector, I will personally research records held at the National Archive, online resources and texts  to illuminate you about the individual's military career.

My Interest in militaria, especially for the period covering the First World War began when I was quite young.  I have collated a number of resources over the years, both online and in book form.

Ten years ago I decided to research details of the medals I had collected. I found this to be hugely satisfying and enjoyable.  Four years ago I started to research my own family history. This is an ongoing project which has proved to be fascinating.

Over the years I have been asked by family and friends to search the archives  and they have been very pleased with the results.

The  latest project ran to approximately forty pages and charted the service of three brothers and a cousin who between them won a Victoria Cross, Distinguished Service Order and a  Military Medal.

I would very much welcome the opportunity of helping you discover your relative's past service with British Army; particularly, but not exclusively, the First World War period.

On the following pages you will find an explanation of the records I will check for you, terms and conditions and the charges for these services.
